Wav files vs mp3s
« on: May 04, 2021, 10:07:27 PM »
Hi, I can record songs on Genos and convert wav files to mp3s. However I prefer wav files for the clarity.
Are all wav files created equal? What I  mean is if I play a wav file created on Genos will it sound the same on another device that plays wav files?
Just curious

It will play the same, but not SOUND the same on another device, because that other device has different speakers, for instance.
To get CD quality on a wave file made on the Genos you will have to edit and mix the file with studio equipment. There are people here that have great interest in this and are getting good results. Sound is such a big field!

The quality of the WAV file will be the same as it records just how you have set the keyboard effects reverb panning style. These are the sounds it will use on whatever you play it on but of course rely on the quality of what you play it through.
