Powered speakers for Genos
« on: April 16, 2021, 03:11:14 PM »
I am thinking about purchasing a pair of Adam T7V powered speakers for my Genos (any opinions?), and note on You Tube reviews suggestions to hook them up via the sub woofer.         I already have the Yamaha Genos speakers and would ask if it's possible to have all four speakers connected via the sub woofer, if not what's the best solution please, (also what cables would I require?) As always thanks in advance..

For my Genos, I use a pair of Yamaha Hs-8 powered monitors, with K&M stands.

It's a perfect setup. You don't need subwoofer. Sound is crispy and powerful.

Directly connected, without mixer.

Very high quality/price ratio.

Gary,

if you decide to get a set od HS8, I would strongly advise to get also the Konig & Meyer supports. They are very strong and beautifully builded: besides a fine height adjustment (that allows you to have the speakers at the height of you ears, to have the best audio pleasure), the wires (power and signal) are hosted in the inside of the column stand; additionally, thank to the heavy weight of the HS8 monitors, you just place the monitors on top of the stand, without screws to fix it, and they will stay very steady (earthquake shake prove!).

Here are a few links to these stands:

Yes, their price is quite high, but that is a purchase forever, and you won't have to worry for the monitors stability.
