Is There a FREEZE function on the SX600 or not..... ?

Yes, the SX600 has a Freeze function.

To call up the Freeze settings display press Direct Access button and then the Freeze button (which is next to the Memory button).

Make the desired settings and press Exit to close the Freeze display.

When the Freeze function is switched ON now (LED of the Freeze button lights up), the parameter groups you ticked before cannot be changed by Registrations, OTS or MIDI songs anymore.

Please refer also to page 77 of the SX600 Reference Manual.

Best regards,
Chris

➪ Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it.
➪ Never put the manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Freeze button is useful for some people. A friend of mine set up his registration as follows:
1) each button call up one of his frequently used styles (8 of them)
2) once the style has been selected, turn ON the FREEZE
3) now each button will call up one of the 8 voices that have been save in this register bank.
I do not use it because some of the songs I play require changing styles, tempo, voices depending on each section of the song.
Each of these special songs requires a dedicated register bank which is name with the song name. Must set these up ahead of time.
