Muting a Voice from a MP3 or WAV ?

Understanding that muting a Voice from a MP3 or WAV can be hit or miss, central voices gives better results.
1. Tyros 5. Has anyone experienced doing this and playing back on Tyros, then playing the melody ?.
2. What free PC software to use ?.

Hi Graham,

you can use the PC (Windows) program "Riffstation" to remove the Vocals from a MP3 or a WAV file. You can also ISOLATE the Vocals (and remove the "rest"), if desired.

Here is the direct download link for the installer file (.exe). (The program was discontinued a few years ago. This is the last available version.)
>>> Riffstation V1.6.3.0 Installer.exe

Some instructions:

- Start "Riffstation".

- Load an Audio file. Be sure you are in the "Jam Master" tab. Play/Pause = Space bar.

- Click on the On/Off button of the "Isolate" section.

- Click on "S" button to ISOLATE the Vocals. Adjust the available parameters as desired.

- Then click on "M" button to REMOVE the Vocals (and play the "rest"). If needed, adjust the available parameters again.

- Please see also the attached picture.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

➪ Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it.
➪ Never put the manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
