MultiPad Volume Control
« on: April 10, 2021, 05:48:41 PM »
I think I know the answer for multipad volume control: there ain't none. But I would like to validate it here by asking if multipads have the capability of volume control adjustment via the mixer (or any other controller)?

Multi Pad Creator - Select the Multipad you want to edit
Go to Step Edit and Adjust CC 7 ( Volume)

Mixing Console takes multipads as one whole thing.

Hi!

You *can* control the overall volume of all MultiPads together (this is done via the mixer). Having said that, the mixer does *not* allow the control of the individual volume of each of the four MultiPads.

But, since the MultiPad file is actually a specialized MIDI file, which can be edited on the keyboard itself, you could add volume-control messages to the MPAD file to control individual volumes. Not as fast and simple as using the mixer, but it's a possibility.

Regards!

Thx everyone. I was hoping it would be a simple volume control knob thingy rather than MIDI CC adjusting and/or editors. Yamaha SHOULD have multipad volume control as easy as most of the rest of the PRS SX900's other functions. Nevertheless, I really am impressed with most all its other features.
