Style in 4/4 but should have been cut time, 2/2.
« on: March 17, 2021, 12:25:39 AM »
Hi!
I created a style for a specific song. The song is in 4/4 cut time but I didn't notice that so I did it in regular 4/4.
The result is that they bar is equal to two bars of the song. One of the problem that occurs is that fill-in's becomes too long.
Is there a way to fix this or do I have to re-create the whole style from scratch?

It can be done, watch the video. If something is not clear feel free to ask.

Dear Casper (I guess this is your name...),

is there any way to get the same result via keyboard (without using external software)?

Thank you  :)

Hallo Angelo,

Yes, I am Casper on Youtube.
This cannot be done only on keyboards. All you need are two free programs, MixMaster and PSRUTI. They are easy to install and customize, I described it on my channel.
It is important to do only the actions shown in the video 02;39 to 03;16. The PSRUTI program does the job, and MixMaster only serves as a bridge (Go to option) so that CASM data is not deleted and Style is completely correct after processing.

regards casper

If you create a new 2/2 style and use the Style Assembly to insert the parts of the original 4/4 style (unfortunately one by one) maybe it could also work on the keyboard, although it will take some time and parts that were written for 4 beats, only the notes of the first 2 beats will be included in the new style.
