registration of Multi Pads
« on: February 12, 2021, 05:32:36 PM »
Relatively new to Genos and doing song registrations to banks. Choosing and registering Styles, Tempos, etc are not a problem, except Multi Pads.  Multi Pads registered in button #1 get carried to all remaining 9 buttons totally ignoring my choice for each other buttons.  I have tried using the Freeze button, etc.  No success.  It is probably a simple answer.  Please help me. Will be greatly appreciated.

Could it be that there are no multpad changes saved in the other registrations and that the settings are just carried over from button #1? Have you tried saving a different multipad in button #2 for example?

Hi jpg,

you can save the Sync Start of the desired Multi Pads (buttons 1 - 4) to a Registration button. To Stop running Multi Pads by pressing a Registration button you can use any "One shot" Multi Pad and memorize it with activated Sync Start to that Registration button, but with Multi Pad Volume turned down to zero.

Please look at these two videos:

>>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnzc6StCXBo

Alternatively you can use a special "PadStopper" Multi Pad bank file. Use the download link in this post:
>>> https://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php/topic,58049.msg450099.html#msg450099

When using this "PadStopper" method, it is NOT needed to turn down the Multi Pad Volume, because each of the 4 individual Pads contained in the "PadStopper" file contains an inaudible note with Velocity 1, so that a previously running Pad on the relevant button is stopped.

By the way: You could also stop previously running Pads and switch new Pads to Sync Start with ONE single Registration button. To do this, you would have to combine the desired Pads from the PadStopper file with the desired Pads to be started (e.g. from a preset Multi Pad bank) and save them as a User Multi Pad bank file.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
