Topic: Genos Registrations on SX900 ?

Hi All,
Looking at an SX900 as backup board to Genos.   
1) Will the SX900 recognize/play my Genos registrations (.rgt files)?   
2) If yes, is it seamless or is tweaking required?

I have both keyboards and registrations will work but you have to remember that the SX900 dose not have SA voices on it so you will probably have to make some tweaks here and there.

I also have both, excellent keyboards, and like Eileen said, you can make some adjustments to make similar Registrations....

Thank you for the feedback on registrations.  New question:  how does the Sx900 key bed feel compared to Genos?

As you would expect it is not Genos but the SX900 key bed is very nice to play.

Hi Larry,

please note that Genos Registration files CAN be loaded on the SX900, but to the best of my knowledge the Genos does NOT recognize Reg files that were originally created on the SX900. (You can use Murray Best's "Yamaha Registration Manager" to "convert" SX900 Reg files so that they can be loaded on Genos.)

Thats correct because the SX900 is newer than Genos and with Yamaha you can go forward but not backward. Also remember we do not have after touch on SX900.
