Hi hoxuthi,
• I suggest to try first a
normal System Reset (already mentioned by tyros5psr): Press and hold the right-most white key (C6) while powering on the S970.
• If this doesn't help try
re-installing the latest firmware first (already mentioned by Aquilauno):
>>>
https://uk.yamaha.com/en/support/updates/firm_psr-s970.htmlPlease refer to the "Firmware Installation Guide" that you can download here:
>>>
https://uk.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/8/789598/PSR-S970S770A3000_Firmware_Installation_EN.pdfIf you are successful with this method, this has the advantage that your system settings and the content of the user drive are retained.
• If this doesn't help either, i.e. the error still occurs, I recommend trying to perform a
Factory Reset using the
internal Test Program:
- Download the S770/S970
Service Manual and open the PDF on your computer:
>>>
https://psrtutorial.com/lessons/workshops/ServiceManuals.html- Read pages 38 & 39 of the Service Manual and try to start up the Test Mode. (There are two different methods to do this. So if the method 1 fails, try method 2.)
- If the Test Mode can be started successfully, execute Test item "081 : Factory Set", then execute Test item "083 : Test Exit".
- Then restart the S970 and wait unil the "Force Format" procedure is completely finished. If you're lucky, the S970 will start normally again.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Chris
