Fingering mode with a asterisk block
« on: January 23, 2021, 08:03:04 PM »
The keyboard seems to be in a state of not possible to chance fingering mode?
On the black bottom menu for the fingering on the bottom is  to see fingered with a asterisk

No chance anymore possible for a a chord fingering?

No, I don't understand. Please explain.

I don't know what you mean by an asterix block! Just press menu, go to Split&fingered and change to the desired fingering mode.

That's how it should work, but not now anymore: i can't  chance anymore a desired fingering mode

The fingering mode is now set on : Fingered*  *symbol = asterisk
The menu is blocked: can choose nothing anymore ???

A factory reset rests then.
But i can't accept this operation of course

Then it sounds like you need a soft reset. Turn off the keyboard, then press the rightmost white key while powering on the keyboard. Note that some settings you have made to your keyboard may have to be set again, but your files will not be lost.

Hi Jan,

you shouldn't always do a Factory Reset whenever a minor problem occurs. In almost all cases it is just a "wrong" user setting. ;)

In the present case it is (was) simply because you selected the setting "Upper" for the parameter "Chord Detection Area" in the "Split Point / Fingering" display in the left tab "Split Point". (See also the attached picture.)

The SX600 Owner's Manual says on page 58:

With this setting, the whole right-hand (Upper) section functions as the Chord section as well as for melody
performance. In this condition, note the following points:

• In the right-hand (Upper) section, you can specify the chord type as you play the melody.

• When the Manual Bass function is On, the Voice for the Bass part of the current
Style is muted and assigned to the left-hand (LOWER) section. To turn this func-
tion on/off, use the [1 up/down] buttons.

• The Chord Fingering setting (page 52) will be set to a specific type (“Fingered*”)
automatically, in which case you should press three or more notes simultaneously for specifying
the chord. Pressing two or less notes does not change the chord type.

• Split Point (Style) is unavailable.

P.S.
Registrations (e.g. created by other users) can unintentionally change many of your settings (including the Chord Fingering settings, Split Points, Pedals etc.). It is strongly recommended that you make at least one "Start-up Registration" that includes your preferred settings. If your settings are changed unintentionally, e.g. by a Registration unknown to you, you simply call up your Setup Registration and everything will be fine again. :)

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Chris

I can restore this setting what i was used to be, by putting it back for the chord detection to lower

Don't know what it musical does this for playing  : upper chord detection setting.
What all those fingering type how to use them musical for playing all, is yet not understand by   me .

Using the AI fingered mode for the lower section chord detection is straight forward.

Hi Jan,

if you set the Chord Detection area to "Upper", you can play chords with your right hand (or a melody that you keep playing chords with) and use this to control the automatic accompaniment. One possible application is to use the "Manual Bass" setting at the same time (also in the "Split Point" tab).

As stated before:

When the Manual Bass function is On, the Voice for the Bass part of the current
Style is muted and assigned to the left-hand (LOWER) section.

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Chris

Good idea to make a startup registration on usb stick when things go wrong
Adding a bass note on the lower section and playing chords and melody on upper section that's a new playstyle for me
