I also like to have some styles directly on the keyboard, a USB stick can be forgotten when I go out to play. But keep in mind that the PSRs don't have huge memory, so as stated abowe, it is practical to use an USB stick.
Hi Toril,
with an SX900 this is not a problem, because its User drive is about 4 GB.
The only thing is if you work with Registrations: In the User drive, the operating system automatically uses Main Category folders (e.g. STYLE or REGIST), but these are not displayed directly on the keyboard. And also in the User drive, two different file types (e.g. Style & Registration files) cannot be in the same folder.
Therefore, the folder hierarchy between the User drive and your folders on USB sticks does not match in most cases, and you have to create/manage Registrations in which files are linked in
two different versions.
It is easiest if you have
all the data you need on a USB stick. It is also the easiest way to create
backup copies (on the computer).Best regards,
Chris
