thanks Chris ,
I have PSRUTI on my computer so I will try that when it happens again.
I have probably 4 or 5 Registrations where this has happened but, until it happens again, I don't know which registrations they are.
Does that mean that there is a fault in the Genos operating system or is it the way I have saved a Midi or Reg.
Hi Duffy,
thanks for the quick feedback!
It's NOT a fault in the Genos operating system. On all PSR-S/SX models, all Tyros models and Genos, you can either use Registrations (which is probably the best method in most cases), OR you can use OTS (One Touch Settings of the Styles), OR you can save your Keyboard Voice Settings directly to MIDI files (as mentioned above).
IF you use Registrations, your MIDI files should NOT contain any "Keyboard Voice Meta Events". To avoid saving the current Keyboard Voice settings into your MIDI files when you re-save an edited MIDI file, make sure that the checkbox "Keyboard Voice" is NOT ticked in "
MIDI Multi Recording > Setup". Usually
only the top 7 checkboxes (Voice ... EQ) should be ticked here. (See also the attached picture.)
P.S.
To find MIDI files that contain such Keyboard Voice events, you can simply load the files
directly (i.e. without a Registration). If the current Keyboard Voice settings change when loading a MIDI file, this file contains such Keyboard Voice events, and you can easily remove them with PSRUTI.
If you click on "Save" button in PSRUTI, the source file will be overwritten without confirmation. I generally recommend making a backup copy of the original file beforehand.
Best regards,
Chris
