Expansion packs and step recording
« on: October 17, 2020, 06:32:17 PM »
Now that Yamaha been so kind too release all those expansions pack for free, I was hoping that I could use those in step recording. However, it seams like I cannot, so it's the same situation as with user styles.

For me that don't play live, I use step recording to make the basic structure of the song and then recording the rest of the instruments in Cubase.

I am not sure why Yamaha will not let us use step recording with other styles then the factory ones. Is it the same with all Yamaha arrangers? Does anyone know why they don't unlock this feature? I can't imagine it would be that difficult for them to do.

I know very little about what you are talking about... I know what it is, but I just don't use it. But, what I do know might help. Have you seen this post? It's software for non-players.

Hi Jugge,

you can try it with Chord Looper, it will memorize User Style and with it you record the Song in the recorder.
