Yamaha UK will confirm the part number for you, but will not sell parts to mere 'plebs' (i.e. customers) like us! Instead they will suggest a reseller, which is usually one of the Yamaha Authorised Service Centres. The last time I needed parts they suggested I used Sontec in Norwich, which I did, but it took weeks for them to arrive and even then one of the parts supplied was not correct!
The reseller will usually have to order the parts from Yamaha (where else
) which adds to the time, and they will most likely add their own markup to the price.
Its possible that any dealer that has an account with Yamaha can order parts from them, so it might be worth checking out local ones to see if they will get them for you (Kenny's Music in Glasgow for example), although this may not be any better than Yamaha's suggestions.
Finally, to replace the button tops you will need to remove the PNL circuit board which is not difficult, but it has a lot of screws. The service manual contains disassembly instructions so is well worth downloading.
