Styles ACMP Button: Left Hand Voice
« on: September 08, 2020, 09:46:27 AM »
I can't figure out where the left hand voice is setup for the ACMP button. If I press the 'Left Button on' I can change it to piano, but if I turn it off I hear some sort of organ. I want to change that organ sound without pressing the left button, but I can't find it in the mixer. I have tried turning everything off in the mixer yet that left hand organ sound still plays when I press a key. Style volume turns it up, and down so it must be in style somewhere?

Where is that organ sound coming from? How do I change it for something else without pressing the Left button to change it?

Hi Pincho,

this sound (a Bass plus a Pad sound, when you play a chord with the left hand while ACMP is switched ON) comes from the "Stop Accompaniment" function. You cannot really change this sound, but you have three options (go to "Menu > Style Setting  > Stop ACMP"):

Off: No Sound is heard when playing a chord with ACMP on and the Style is stopped.

Fixed: The same sound is heard for all the Styles.

Style: The Bass and Pad sounds of the current Style are used.

Please refer also to page 12 of the Genos Reference Manual.

By the way: This setting is automatically memorized to Registrations when the Style checkbox is ticked.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

That's right, @overover is always accurate in description.
If you want to see what it looks like in practice, and why there are three ACMP statuses, check out this video.

Oh OK thanks! I changed the pad for a piano, and it worked!
