Yem problem
« on: August 04, 2020, 08:19:37 AM »
Hi can anyone help me with this,i haven't used yem for 7 years so when the free Yamaha packs
Were available I downloaded the latest version of it and successfully downloaded Celtic and euro organ packs
I did the instrument I d n27 extracted the files which I assumed Is unzip them.
The green ticks came up which said I had them in my yem.i then saved the files to my sub stick.
Put it my keyboard which is the T5 76 went to pack installation they showed up on my screen.
But they won't install the icon is not lit up. I have the 1gb ram installed.
I have been trying this for 2 days now it's been very frustrating.
Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Ernie,

have you already installed the latest Firmware Update (V1.13) on your Tyros5? If not you should do this first:

>>> https://uk.yamaha.com/en/support/updates/firm_tyros5.html

(To check the current version, press "[Function] > Utility", tab to "Owner" and press "7" or "8" button.)

Best regards,
Chris

hi chris
I have the latest firmware on the keyboard. ...

Hi Ernie,

thanks for the quick feedback.

I recommend to format the USB stick on the Tyros5 first. Then be sure to save the Pack Install file ("TYROS5_PackInstallData.cpi") to the ROOT directory of the USB stick. There the Tyros5 should can find the file. If the problem persists try a different USB stick.

P.S.
... I have been trying this for 2 days now it's been very frustrating. ...

Have you already updated the YEM to the new version 2.7.0 (that was released TODAY)?

Best regards,
Chris
