Song Midi
« on: July 28, 2020, 12:46:03 AM »

Greetings to the whole community. I am a new owner of a Yamaha PSR-SX900 keyboard and I have this problem:
1) I wonder if it is possible to create a midi song using in part chord tracker and then save it as a midi file and be able to play it on a PC with a suitable player.
From tests carried out the created midi file does not sound.
2) Can midi songs be played only using the keyboard or is there any software that recognizes the midi files of the PSR-SX900?

The MIDI file can be created using Chord Tracker, watch the video in which it is shown.

The most practical program for listening to MIDI files is VanBasco but you can use many others like XGWorks, Cubase, Cakewalk ...

Thanks for your answer Ckobu
I try to explain myself better.
I already use VanBasco but when I go to load the midi file created with the chord tracker no sound is heard.
I noticed that the midi file has very small dimensions of about 2-3 KByte.
Basically the midi file only works with the keyboard song player.
I tried to insert a melody track and then I made the save.
When I subsequently produce the midi file with Vanvasco only the sound of the melody played by me is heard while the other sounds are not heard.

I don't think you watched my whole video.
After 1.71 seconds, I record in Multitracking mode and that's where the standard midi file is created and all the tracks will play in VanBasco. Of course, in VanBasco, the Digital Instrument should be set up as the sound source.

Thanks again for your valuable help ckobu
I finally managed to record a midi song.
Basically I have to get the chord looper first and then go to Midi Multi Recording and play with the chord looper accompaniment.
The video you suggested was a great help.
I think I will definitely need your help in the future.
