Your information is incomplete - which finger mode (there are more than one) are you using? what played chord gives you G/C?  If I were to guess, I'd say you are playind a G-C-E chord in Fingered On Bass mode.

It seems you should go to the Fingering setting and select "Fingered".

Hope this helps -- José.

Hi Ian
My Key board is out in the studio, I went out and checked, I am in fingered mode c displays c  G displays G\C F displays F\C so going beyond that every chord I play displays \C so checked all chord fingering and I have  the same problem in Chord modes so I think it is key board problem, I just sent my Hubby Craig out again to take the keyboard apart again cause he has replaced several circuit boards on this unit I think he may of changed the rubber strip around and may have one in the wrong place this is strange, I really am trying to hang on to this keyboard I do have a 970 but I love the tyros more,I like the high end boards although at this time the Genos is so expensive and I am not playing out much now, I would consider a used Genos if the price was right and it was in tip top condition , the sx900 sounds like a great keyboard but is still a psr and that is fine its just I like the features of the Tryos or Genos so much better so will try to keep this one going if at all possible,

Paula, I had a similar problem on my PSR. A soft reset solved the problem. A little less drastic than taking the poor T4 apart again!

Hi Ian
I did check the link you gave me  and yes it involved the midi, Thank you  ever so much , what happened was when Craig put in the faulty circuit board from Yamaha I was pushing buttons and unable to see the screen, Yamaha caused many problems and I know for a fact that was a faulty circuit board they sent us, I wish I had taken a picture of the screen but I was so disgusted I didnt want to, Craig took that circuit board several times to check and see if he screwed something up ,I truly thought he may of done something wrong, I was ready to have a tyros 4 funeral , I had my crying towel and all ,he said lets put the old one back in and yep a clean working screen popes up , so now we need to solve the d button sticking on the screen sometimes it dont work and the buttons work off from the circuit board we replaced , do I trust yamaha to send another bad one? and they cost over $100.00 so dont know what to do, now I know Craig is not a certified yamaha tech. he probably can do a better job then yamaha technician as I did call the closest one to me 100 miles away in Green Bay Wi ,told him I had a tyros 4 and he said WHAT IS THAT I said good by what a joke, ya either fix them yourself or you dont get them fixed, Thanks again fingered problem solved with your advice

When all your chords show C as bass you need to go to midi settings and make sure they are set to
ALL PARTS. If it is set to ant thing else this is your problem.
