Hi davfra,
are you talking of the "Midi Player" program developed by Michael Bedesem?
https://psrtutorial.com/MB/midiplayer.htmlNewer MIDI programs usually have in integrated MIDI Mapper, and you can directly select/change the desired MIDI Out device. Some older programs like "Midi Player" do NOT have their
own MIDI Mapper, but they always use the MIDI device that is set as "Standard" in Windows.
In newer Windows versions (starting with Windows Vista) you need an external MIDI Mapper to change the Windows Standard MIDI device.
If you have installed the "Midi Player" program, go to its program folder ...
C:\ Program Files (x86)\ MidiPlayer
... and double-click the file "
PLWMidiMap.cpl" to start "Putzlowitschs Vista-MIDIMapper". Then select "Digital Workstation
1" in the dropdown box (NOT
2!) and click OK. Now the "Midi Player" should properly control the SONG parts of your PSR-S975.
P.S.
You do NOT have to set anything in the graphical user interface of the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver. So please do NOT change anything here, just close the window again.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Chris
