Removing bars in MIDI Multi Recording
« on: May 13, 2020, 11:20:16 PM »
I appear to have highjacked a previous thread so my apology and thank you to Fred for pointing me in the right direction.

I have done some MIDI Multi Recording but on play back some of my timing is out and I need to remove a bar mid way in the recording. I do not want to punch in or punch out to re record over a specific part, I want to remove the bar completely so the piece of music feels more "joined up".

I have tried to remove a section from all 16 track (e.g. bar 30 using step recording) where I think the error is. But this does not seem to work. I have read the manual but this does not seem to be covered, I can see it I can remove or change a note but how can I simply remove a complete bar.

I am only just getting into multi-track recording and so its all a bit new to me.

Thanks

David

Now have a CVP 809 as my wife plays Piano but not Keyboard - I had to PX a Genos to buy it, Also have an SX700 - I did previously own a Tyros.

If my song consisted of three measures and I want to remove the second measure.

create a backup of the song.

select measure 2 and delete it.
select measure 3 and copy it, then delete it.
select starting point of measure 2 and paste measure 3.

It gets tricky, but it can be done.
