converting midi drum loops to Yamaha styles
« on: May 17, 2020, 08:03:57 PM »
I downloaded a software called Midi2Style in order to convert some really cool current 4-measure hip hop drum loops by awesome drummers into styles for use on my PSR S775 for playing live. When I import the drum loop midi file, which comes from the internet into Midi2Style, it comes in as a "Grand Piano" and the rhythm is played on a grand piano. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to simply change the voice of the data from Grand Piano to a drum kit in Midi2Style. Is there any easier way to accomplish what I am trying to do?

I normally use Mix Master,
Go to Note Edit Mode.

You'll need to open two Mix Master Sessions.

One with your Style and the New Pattern

Delete the old Style pattern ( CH 10)
And copy and paste the new pattern
Save as a new style.
Hope this helps.
