Hi
On the Korg PA 1000, you can select different instruments for pads in a given style. For example, in the Korg Piano Ballad style, you can have strings Pad1, guitar Pad2, Piano Pad3 and Horns Pad4
With the PSR it seems that all 4 pads have always the same instruments
Is there a way to select different instruments for the 4 pads in a given style?
Thanks for your input
J-Louis
Hi J-Louis,
first of all, it should be said that on Yamaha arranger keyboards, like the PSR-S970, the Multi Pads are completely independent of the Style.
In "Multi Pad Edit" window, you can (for example) COPY a single Multi Pad to another Multi Pad Bank. So, you can combine up to 4 Pads from different Banks, and then save them as a new Multi Pad Bank file.
And, of course, you can create your own Multi Pads in the "Multi Pad Creator".
For more details, please refer to the S970 Reference Manual, pages 75 - 78. To download S970 the Manuals you can click on the following link:

select Multi Pads manually OR by using Registrations OR by using OTS (One Touch Settings). The OTS settings are always stored with the STYLE data. So, if you change one or more OTS you have to re-save the used STYLE again (to USER drive or a USB stick).
Best regards,
Chris
