I am probably looking right over this but is there a way to move the cursor to beginning of a registration name without deleting it? I want to copy my registrations (1 registration file per song) to a folder for a song list and then number them in the order I want to play them. However, I cannot see how to backspace or move the cursor to the beginning of the file name to number them.

Yes, use the data wheel.
