Yesterday I was working with replacing some voices in a GM file and when searching for corresponding voices on Genos, I found out that
similar voices in the Legacy folder on Genos also had identical MSB and Program Change Messages.
For example, the GM voice Warmpad are using MSB=0, LSB=0, PC-90 and the voice NeoWarmPad on Genos are using MSB=0, LSB=115, PC-90
and the GM voice Sweeppad are using MSB=0, LSB=0, PC-96 and the voice OberSweep on Genos are using MSB=0, LSB=115, PC-96
Is there any logic behind this and can most of the GM voices be replaced by just changing the LSB? Is there perhaps any software available that will do this automatically?
I have played around with the MegaEnhancer software to see if it could replace all GM sounds but it seams to only replace voices that have a corresponding Mega Vocice instruemnt and leave the rest of the instruments untouched.
