This is the contain of pack.

Excuse me, I have the Ghenos 2.0, Is there an special offer?

asalamonat

For Ghenos Plus 2 Owners its free, just send them an email!

NASAMike

I got this GHENOS extension but it seems that it won't fit in my s970 memory.  The YEM indicates that I have 509 MB of memory but this pack seems to be bigger than that.

Am I missing something? is there a way to expand the onboard memory?

Thx,
NASAMike

The expansion Works :D

Check your expansion manager version.

Per instruction I deleted a few of the voices (trial and error on which I wanted to keep) before installing and got it below my memory allocation.  The drums, guitars, and a couple of the choirs sound fantastic!

And there were quite a few styles in there that I didn't have.  I'll tweak them up but they are a great start.

Definitely more than worth the purchase!

Hello NASAMike,
It doesn't need to be "trial and error"..  Such situations are one of the reasons why I made:

-take a look (manual), try and decide  :)

I myself just bought this pack to my SX900 and the styles in general really exceeded my expectation. They do sound good, very, very close to Genos. If you close your eyes comparing it with Genos listening live, I bet you can't distinguish the difference. I'm happy for spending only $35 bucks in such a great product.
You can purchase throug Paypal and contact them here: https://playsounds-store.ecwid.com/Expansion-Pack-SX-Essentials-p173700807

Telmo, I am very glad to hear you are happy with it.
I have also just purchased and received this pack but I am having difficulty getting it loaded into my S970
Perhaps you or someone else can assist me?
So far I have unzipped it, loaded it into my YEM, created a PPI file
Do I load the pack into my PSR directly from the YEM or do I copy the ppi to a flashdrive and install to keyboard that way.
I am pretty much a newb at installing these packs.

Hi Jim,

connect the USB stick containing your PPI file to the S970. Then press [FUNCTION] > TAB [F] MENU 2 > [F] PACK INSTALLATION and follow the instructions on the screen.

Best regards,
Chris

Hello!,
You need to download the file, extract it because it comes in .zip. Once this is done, you have to open expansion manager and select "import pack", then YEM will extract the content. Once this is finished select your PSR-S970 in the left side panel and finally select "Save as Pack Installation File"

Thank you everyone
I've got it loaded now and am quite happy with it
Loving that resonator guitar
In my opinion that alone was worth the purchase for my uses
Wish you all to be safe, well, and enjoying your boards

I agree with you Jim. I also loved the SA! Irish Pipe voice which reminded me the Irish Pipe Air introduced on the launch of Tyros 3.

I didn't see the Irish Pipe in my GHENOS Plus.  Are you saying that is in the GHENOS Plus set that you got?

Thx,

Affirmative, when they sent me for the first time it didn't come, then I contacted them and they sent me. Check the attached print.

Telmo, If you hadn't posted about this I'd have never known.
But I am missing just that one voice also.
I have 39 voices, not 40 like you. And the one that's missing.
You guessed it. Sigh

Hi Alan,

when I call up this website, there are currently five (5) different products available:

But only one of those packs has any relevance to the one being discussed here - the G-KEYS PLUS.

Hi Alan,

yes, there are no "GHENOS" Packs anymore. They are called "G-Master" or "G-Keys" now. I guess this is due to copyright reasons. Also the Voice types in these Packs are called differently now  (different to the Yamaha Voice types).

Chris

Surely not!! The creators of the pack have assured me several times that this pack is not only within copyright, but Yamaha have authorized them to sell it!

And how do we contact them? (I'm rapidly losing interest in this thread).

Hi Derek,

when I said "copyright reasons", I did NOT mean the copyright of the Contents (e.g. of the sampled Voices). What I meant before is that Yamaha could not have allowed these Packs to be sold under the name "Ghenos" (due to the risk of confusion with the original name "Genos").

And there is certainly a reason that the included Voice types are no longer "Revo!" but "Dyno!" be called. (The Yamaha Revo drum technology is not really used here, but "only" a special sampling technique so that these Voices sound similar to the original Genos Revo kits.)

Also eg the Yamaha Voice types "Mega!" and "S.Art" no longer appear in the Voice names of the current "G-Keys" or "G-Master Keys" Packs. I therefore suspect that Yamaha does not allow the use of these original Voice type names here. (By the way, the "S.Art" voices in the earlier "Ghenos" packs are not really based on the Yamaha Super Articulation technology, but these Voices only "imitate" this.)

Best regards,
Chris

That's it. I really have lost interest in this thread. Where's that link that disengages me from receiving emails to do with it?
