« on: September 13, 2023, 05:58:48 PM »
Hi all, I know this must have been asked many times but here we go again. I have got my MIDI files onto a USB stick and want to load them into my SX600 I have done it before on my previous 600 and once on this 600. But *** I seem to only do it after pressing nearly every button. And then dont know how I managed to get it. LOL  Anyway can someone let me know step by step so I can print it off....................Many Thanks.

Hi shezza,

On SX600, you can open the Song Selection display as follows:

1. Press [Direct Access] followed by [Song Function] button.
   or
2. Press [Song Function] button, then press one of the [1] display buttons (= Select).

Then use TAB buttons to go to USB1 and select the desired MIDI file on the USB stick to load it.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

The most common mistake made when handling external files is forgetting that unlike your computer - which usually shows all files and their expansions  - the yamaha arranger keyboards only show and handle the files for the mode you have selected. So if you want to handle style files, you have to be in style mode, likewise for songs or voices.
