HD or User?
« on: March 28, 2020, 05:38:38 PM »
Yes, another daft question...

Say I copy a style. Would I better save it to the user or HD?

I'm unclear as to why?

Ta, Norm.

Save it where you’ll be able to find it.

Styles are small enough that you can store a lot on the User drive. So it’s your choice. Just have a folder structure you’re happy with, and find easy to navigate.

Cheers,

Great Fred thanks. I guess I should then save those to a memory stick?

As Fred says, organize your files in the way that feels most natural  and logical for you.
Keep in mind that the User area on the Tyros5 is rather small, so it is best to use it as a workbench. When you are finished working on a song or a style, save it to the HD or on a USB stick.

Aha! Didn't know that, Toril, but I have indeed come across that message about 'Insufficient space...' so that solves that problem.

Thank you, Norm.
