Can anyone please tell me if the Roland PK-5 bass pedals use the Genos voices via MIDI
or do they only have their own voices?

Yes they are plugged into either midi A or B on keyboard,

you Also need Regi stick for the bass sounds to work whitch you can buy at Yamaha club.co.uk
