Topic: Yamaha SX900 instrument info file (n27)

I have Yamaha A5000. When I want to use the expansion packs made for SX900 for example CELTIC pack which has no A5000 version (it is available even for s670) I should import the SX900 instrument info file in Yamaha expansion manager app. Is there anywhere to download this file? Or could someone which own SX900 send me the file? Thanks in advance.

hi Photon,
SX900 instrument info file (n27) will be of no help for you. By having this file, you can only create install pack for SX900 (A5000 won't install such pack).

I'm an SX900 user.. Like Bogdan said, Instrument info of SX900 won't make a pack for A5000..If you want to, you should have the instrument info of your own keyboard (A5000).

He probably already has n27 file for his A5000. But the thing is, to load protected SX900 pack into YEM, n27 for SX900 is needed. However, because it's protected (made for SX900 only), one can't make install pack for A5000.

Well, no... that's the whole point of pack protection: it can only be used on keyboard for which it's made.
