You might ask your question for a contact email via their YouTube videos. However, I checked several and they do not seem to have ever responded to anyone's questions yet.

Not sure what you question is or what you are looking for but have you tried contacting FRANK at Audioworks here in the states (Conn.)?

Anon125: If you ask Bonners about the new or used products they have in stock, or about their current videos, they'll reply. I know that, because I've helped on one or two replies - I teach there!

Michael (keyboardcrazy49) makes his own videos, they're not made by Bonners so you should ask him directly about the instruments he uses.

To help answer your question about your old PSR4600: 1) have you turned on the accompaniment to split the keyboard? 2) if you have, have you pressed Sync Start to start the rhythm with your first left hand chord? If you haven't then the chords won't hold. The 'memory' for chords only works when the rhythm is running.
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

we first press orch to lower - choose a voice for the left chords.
next we go to solo too choose a voice for the melody.
select a style.
autobass chord to fingered.
synchro start.

What Anon needs is what now we call: "Left Hold" for the left hand voice.
If someone can help...

Anon, I can see a "Hold" button in the PAD section.Maybe is that the right button to press?
My first keyboard was a similar or maybe this model but I don't remember much. It's been 18 years since then.

Here is the manual of PSR 4600 in 4 languages:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/340260/Yamaha-Portatone-Psr-4600.html?page=22#manual

Maybe there is also a release or a sustain effect for the left hand voice?

I've gone through the manual. There does not seem to be a 'left hold' function. Not surprising, remember that this is a rather old, entry level keyboard and I'm not sure that the feature existed that long ago. If I see Michael, I'll ask him to check.

So it looks like although the accompaniment drums, chords and bass will hold when you release the keys, the Orchestra will not.
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Here is a link to a YouTube video by Michael (KeyboardKrazy49) about the PSR-4600 styles.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgB5-e7Msw0

I have not watched very much of it, but even in the demonstration of the first few styles, it appears to show both the rhythm and accompaniment continuing to play after he lifts his fingers from the keys!

It looks as if the bass and chord style accompaniment is produced by the so called 'Auto Bass Chord' function (ABC) on the PSR-4600.

On page 36 of the manual, there is a note which says:

"The automatic accompaniment will continue playing even if you lift your fingers from the Auto Bass Chord keys.  You only need to press the Auto Bass Chord keys when changing chords."

So it looks as if when a style is started, if ABC is on, the bass and chords should 'hold' when you take your fingers off the keys, similar to what happens on more modern models.
