No problem. It’s a TSV (tab separated value) file. Just open it in Excel.

Cheers,

Thank You, really.  It's good, but the style and OTS informations are missing.

That's because that information is in the registration, not the playlist.

That's right.  ;)
Could I make a list in Excel format about the 2000 registers?

You can try the 'Reports' function in Murray Best's 'Yamaha Registration Manager' program (for PC), which produces a tab delimited .txt file containing details of the individual registration in all banks within a specified folder.

You can then open this file in Excel or other spreadsheet and edit it as required.

The program does not read the .tsv Play List files, so the report won't be able to associate the registration details with a Play List entry, but you should be able to do that manually if you really want to put the effort in!

Murray has not yet released a fully modified version of the program for the latest keyboards, but he has released a 'special' version meanwhile, which allows you to use the program with the SX models and Genos V2.

There is a link to download it in this forum post...   https://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php/topic,53618.msg417951.html#msg417951

You can get a PDF of the user manual from the bottom of the page at this link... https://psrtutorial.com/util/best.html

Information about the Report Generator function starts on page 57.

Ian:

I did a test with the Report writer on the Genos Playlist, and the Registration Bank Names are identical to the Playlist entry names so it would be very easy to relate them.

Although the report function will tell one the actual voices settings for each registration bank/button, there is nothing that will list the available OTS voices for each style / variation in those registrations.

However, within YRM if one edits a button in any of the Playlist registration banks, and clicks the option "View OTS", all the voices available for the style in the registration button will be shown for each variation.

I haven't created a way to list that stuff as yet, but maybe that's a new idea for the future.

Cheers,

Murray

I installed the pgm, ran a report, and got the txt file. When I import it to spreadsheet it is not formatted or columns lined up or anything...just looks like txt...I must need to do something else?
Thanks,
Lee

Hi Lee,

When you try to open the .txt report in Excel, the 'Text Import Wizard' should pop up.

In the Wizard, set:  Original data type = 'Delimited',  Start import at row  = 2 , and Delimiters = 'Tab'.

Click 'Finish' and the sheet should open with the records correctly split into columns (fields).

You will need to adjust the width of each column to suit the data in it.

Ian, OK, got it working, I use Open Office, and I had to do it a little different as wizard does not pop up, you have to use insert into a blank spreadsheet...but it worked perfectly. Do you miss working for Yamaha on the island?? What are you playing now?
