Genos is missing something very important: Concept of a Song
« on: January 03, 2020, 01:45:58 PM »
The way the Genos is setup, there is no concept of a song.  A registration does not contain Song metadata such as Author, Performer, Genre, Date, BPM, Meter, etc.  Why is this important, it is the keystone of doing sorts and searches, it links registrations, and finally the most important is you add songs to Playlists; MULTIPLE Playlists.

I am a performer and I play with multiple singers and lets say we need to play a Jazz tune; There is no way to find all the Jazz songs for singer John Doe.

This is a big miss on the Genos.

Forget the genos midiplayer
Use a simple notebook voor song play
There is a lot of midi play software with database functies karaoke and chord display

I believe you can add tags, to make searching easier. So you could add Jazz as a keyword and all your Jazz songs, styles, and playlists, would come up on a search for Jazz.

Hope this helps!
