I’m grateful to Heidrun at SoundWonderland for this great news!

New Yamaha Style download and mini-update V2.01 for Genos

Friday December 20, 2019, Yamaha will provide another 35 Styles for Genos (originating from the new PSR-SX Series). They will be available for download on Yamaha's official download site for free.

In addition to that, a mini-update, V2.01 which addresses mainly bug fixes, will be available on Yamaha's download site as well.

Nice X-Mas present form Yamaha. 🎅

Some great styles that sound far better than just load the SX styles (uploaded at several fora earlier) 'as is' into Genos.
OS update went very quick and smooth, as it probably add the 'fixes' as long as 2.0 already was installed. 👍😊

The Genos is starting to look almost like the SX900. Remains about the 'Yamaha SX Conversion Kit' (Saw,Ducktape and Glue) for the Genos: A saw to shorten 15 keys, cover the hole with duck tape and glue to stick 2 beautiful speakers on it. And voila .. almost an SX900

Firmware v 2.0.1
it'a pity that Yamaha did nothing about
the too small fontsize in scoreview from midifiles.
I'm dissapointed and hope it will be solved soon
in a further update.

Yamaha were prompted to update for a single registration issue. I wonder what it "cured". It hasn't addressed the inability of registrations to save parameters in insert DSP's used in styles so it has to be something else.

It would be helpful if Yamaha gave a bit more detail when describing this type of bug fix.
Just saying "Fixed a problem in which the Registration Memory function would not work properly in some cases" is hardly informative..........

I really like the new styles! These are much more useful (for my kind of playing) than ones in the "Superior Pack." Really great ballads suitable for a lot of arrangements. Thank you for such a nice Holiday present Yamaha.

Someone stated that playlist will not work after this update. Hope I can download the extra styles if I skip this update?

The styles works like a charm, it's in a separate folder, just copy to a USB or userarea, load and play. 🎵🎵🎵🎹🎵🎵🎵

Poor information from Yamaha in their explanations!

BTW, there are a lot of problems discussing from almost the launching of Genos and this one was a very important thing that must be solved. Come on, really?!

And no concrete explanation about the bug! I don't know, really, which one of the bugs of registrations was solved, Yamaha?!

It made me laugh for some good minutes
