This is a Christmas song by Enya. I only know of it because I heard it on the sound system of a department store where I was working about 11 years ago, and it nearly brought tears to my eyes when I heard it. It's called "Magic of the Night", and while I first posted a version of this on here about 4-5 years ago (and it was not during the Christmas season, as I recall), I figured I'd re-record it and post it again for the Christmas season.
I might add that the original was done before I discovered that my computer had been set to record mono (instead of stereo), so this should be an improvement for that reason alone. And, I will admit that I almost did it again! I have a newer computer now, and I did not realize that it was set to record my USB input in mono until after I recorded this song and realized that the left and right waveform tracks of the Audacity recording looked identical. So, I fixed the setting on my computer, and re-recorded it properly in stereo.
This was all done "live" on a PSR-E433, in that there was no multi-tracking -- everything you hear was done directly by playing the song live on the keyboard. I only used the style for the drums, and as I mentioned above, I used Audacity for the digital recording. I used Audacity's effects to adjust the fading/levels, and for some mild equalization and compression.
