Anyone tried or use the Pitch correction feature, how good is it, any tips on making it actually work well....Yep, you guessed it, I'm not a great singer...

I have used the Tyros and Genos pitch correction.   It helps a bit but . . .

In my opinion. . . .
if someone already sings well does not need pitch correction . . .
if someone does not sing well at all . . . pitch correction will not make a big difference

but that is just my opinion.

thanks

It's a little bit of a help. I have very good pitch, but when doing vocal harmonies, everything has to be as precise as possible, and I feel like it helps and doesn't hurt when I set the pitch correction to moderate. I don't notice any artifacts or sudden changes during bends.

On this note, is the harmonizer in the SX900 the same as the S975 and S970?

Answering my own question, the VH2 harmonizer in the SX900 and Genos was first implemented in the Yamaha Tyros 4 and S950. It's rather old technology.

Can you pitch correct your voice based on the key played in the right hand? If not, that would be excellent!
