Little St Nick
« on: December 11, 2019, 02:15:17 PM »
Little St Nick was written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love of the American group The Beach Boys and released as a single in December of 1963.  In the song St Nick's sleigh is compared to a hot rod, a theme that was very popular with American youth at the time.  Parts of the tune are very similar to parts of the Beach Boys hit Little Deuce Coupe and Chuck Berry's Run, Run Rudolph.  It also appeared on the 1964 Beach Boys Christmas album.  Notable covers are by the American group Hanson in 1997 and The Captain and Tennille in 2007.  I hope some of you will like my humble attempt at the song here.  Thanks for listening.

Haven't heard anyone play this marvellous little tune in ages Richard, but your spirited and tuneful performance was perfect. Tim
