SX900 is effectively T5 repackaged, so you get the same number of insert effects that T5 had. This is a fairly common pattern with Yamaha, new generations tend to move the same feature sets 'down' a level. For example S670 (replacement for S650) was very much an S750.
You can't load packs that mix internal and external samples created on Genos, because SX might not have the same internal sample wave in its ROM. It might be possible to create packs that mix internal and external samples using only internal samples that are on SX but Yamaha choose not to. That's why they are special features Perhaps there is some horrible technical constraint, that would not surprise me ....

I am pretty sure if Yamaha want they can fix this easy in next OS upgrade. Look what happened with Genos from start.
Genos is now with V 2.o a total different keyboard.
