Topic: Genos Audio input/output connectors?

Hi,

I think I read in some other post that the output connectors on the back are not balanced, but unbalanced. I.e. a TS connector gives the best results....
Is this also the case for the AUX IN jacks ??

I have tried to confirm this in some documents on the internet but nowhere can I read the facts about the (un)balanced jacks ??

Anyone that have a link or pointer ?

you can see that at the genos audio connectors
the small connector 2 poles is jack
The big black combinatie connector 3 poles is balanced
You can use the 3 poles connector also with a jack connector onbalanced

Hi Toby,

all Line output jacks and Line input (Aux in) jacks on Genos are unbalanced (use TS plugs only). For longer distances use short TS cables and DI boxes on the Line outputs.

The Mic input (combo jack) is balanced. You can use balanced or unbalanced cables / connectors (XLR male, TRS or TS phone plug). If you use an unbalanced XLR cable (pins 1 and 3 bridged), you should switch OFF the 48V phantom power.

The Head Phones jack is a Stereo output, of course (use TRS jack Stereo).
