Abandoning Genos for a little while
« on: December 31, 2019, 12:52:54 AM »
Dears,

In the first quarter of 2020, I am planning to spend some time with my DAW for cinematic and cues scoring. I've already purchased some cool libraries in black Friday sale that will keep me pretty busy.

With that being said, I am going to put my Genos baby back to its retail box for 3 or 4 months at most.

My question is ..

Will Genos stop working or misbehave if stored for this long period? .. It will be carefully packaged and kept in clean location.

This is very important information to know.

Thx and happy new year all.

Hi --

My Genos survived over two months of storage in a mover's warehouse, packed away in its original box.

No electronic issues and no data loss. The clock will need resetting because there is no battery for it.

I strongly recommend backing up all data. Even though I had a good experience, I had several back up copies just in case. Sound/style/song development time is too valuable to lose!

Good luck -- pj

Thx a lot.
I already took a good backup before saying a temporary goodbye to my baby.

So excited to produce some scoring tunes.

Why don’t you set up Genos as controller for your DAW?

You can set up, the Genos with 6 knobs, 9 sliders and some more as agreat controller for your daw
