YEM doesn't recognise Yamaha Tyros 3 instrument ID .
« on: November 20, 2019, 11:37:36 PM »
Hello....I have a Tyros 3 and tried  to export instrument ID to Yamaha Expansion Manager but when I tried to add it to expansion manager it didn't recognise the info from the Flash Drive.  I also have a Tyros 5 and expansion manager recognised it with no problems.
Is tyros 3 not compatible with Expansion Manager ?   Thanks / Dave  ???

Instruments before Tyros5 and PSR-S970/770/670/A3000 are NOT compatible with YEM technology.

In other words: Only Genos, Tyros5, PSR-SX900/700, PSR-S975/775/970/770/670/A3000 are YEM compatible.

Tyros 3/4 can use the Custom Voice format .UVN/.UVD and the Yamaha Premium Pack format .YP2 only.

Best regards,
Chris

Thanks for clearing that up Chris .  I kind of figured the T3 might have been too old for YEM .
Just thought I would ask to be sure .

Thanks for the help .    Dave :)

Hi Dave,

thank you for your quick feedback!

P.S.
YEM-compatible Expansion Packs (.PPF format) can NOT be converted to use it on Tyros3.

But Tyros3 Custom Voices (.UVN/.UVD) can be imported to the YEM and used for example on Tyros5.

Best regards,
Chris
