Topic: Limitation or a bug (Drum Setup - cpf drums)?

Hi.

I bought some drums from Dynamics Audio, which I want to use them in my custom styles.
I encountered a problem using them, because:
Updating to 1.20, Yamaha have implemented the ability of choosing Expansion Drums in Drum setup. But they did not tell us that Drums from cpf packs cannot be searched in "Kit" textbox. Yes, you can load a Kit, from Play mode or in Style Creator, using Drum selection method, but if you want to change an element with another element from another cpf pack, you will not find it in the "list". More than that, if you try to search, you will loose the selected drum, because it is in a cpf, as I said. You have to reload it.
So, maybe in 2.0 we can search from cpf drums also?! Who knows?!

It seems Bojan from Dynamix Audio does not have any problems with its cpf packs installed in PSR-S970 and on Genos.
It gives me two videos with the same pack as mine in CPF format and to its installation is showing without problems in Drum Setup.
I will try to reinstall my latest OS tonight and See what's happening after that.
Or I could wait for another 4 days for the new 2.0 OS and 2.6 version of YEM... Hmm

I thought it is a problem with my board, but I heard from a friend this is happening with drums from CPF packs, you only can selected it and edit it, only with parameters available in Drum Setup for each element, but NOT changing elements with other Kit from other CPF. Changing the Kit for an element will erase the Kit from its "Kit" textbox in Drum Setup.

Yamaha, do something with this thing, please

Please, if someone can test this thing.
Ckobu, maybe? Metcam? or someone who own CPF Packs installed? Could make some video trying this procedure on their keyboards?

If I understood correctly. You can't combine Drum elements from different cpf Packs in Style Creator?
I have now made one CPF Pack (ID related) from Dynamix Drum. I have a Superior Pack installed that is also cpf. When editing Style I can combine drum elements from Dynamix and Superior.

  I cannot combine... I cannot find any of those cpf files in Drum Setup. Could be my keyboard with problems?!

I've got an email right now from Bojan, saying that he found out that Yamaha has limitations in Drum Setup of showing Custom DrumKits (numbers of them). So I will test right now by installing only some of my packs, not all of them...

That's correct Vali. I have in my Genos near 200 user drum kits and in drum setup i can see only 64.

There is LIMITATIONS. I hope that's will be next project for YAMAHA.
