Style Tempo

I don't create styles, but I do adjust the tempo to many styles to make it sound totally different. I use to try this with the T-5 and it didn't work very well. With the Genos, some of the most slow or fast tempo styles can actually sound very different with a little adjustment in the rhythm, chord, pad and phrase 1 & 2. and tempo. Just curious if others have done this?

I do this with MixMaster. Yes, styles can really surprise you by being beautiful when slowed down.

Agreed. The tempo assigned to a system style is just a suggestion. You can alter the tempos and get excellent results.

One note: Sometimes speeding up a slow style doesn't work because the instruments used can not be played that fast. Your final assessment must be based on whether the style tempo applied, makes the style sound believable or not. If not, there are plenty of other styles from which to choose.
"Learn" your music correctly, then "practice" it. Don't practice mistakes because you'll learn them.
