Hi meyrick,
yes, .UVN and .UVD voice files can be used with the Tyros5. They can be imported "as Content" in YEM (into a new, own Pack that has to be created before or into an existing, own Pack).
Important: Tyros5 should be updated to the latest firmware version (1.13) before, and also the latest YEM version (2.5.3) should be used.
There are three types of .UVN/.UVD voice files:
1. The file does NOT contain any samples, the voice is using
internal samples of the Tyros4
only (file size only about 1 to 4 KB)
2. The file contains samples (.wav) and the voice is NOT using
internal samples of the Tyros4
3. The file contains samples (.wav) AND the voice is also using
internal samples of the Tyros4
The good news is: All three types of .UVN/.UVD voice files can be used with the Tyros5 (as described above).
P.S.
If you have a
T4 Library file (.UVI), and all the corresponding .UVN/UVD files (that are linked in the .UVI file) are in the same folder (on a USB stick or on the PC's hard drive), you can simply import the .UVI file in the YEM by "Import Pack". In this way, an new Pack will be created automatically (with the voices in the order specified by the .UVI file).
Best regards,
Chris
