Kino Strings
« on: August 07, 2019, 04:32:00 PM »
Hi Friends,
Does SX series comes with Kino Strings ? Looking at the data sheet, I couldn't find any reference thou.
Can I assume , most of us is thinking sx900 is superior than sx700? Is it based on more user memory or just more than that?
Thanks a lot

The SX900 has Seattle strings but not Kino.
The SX700 has less content

Thank you both.
Is there a huge difference between Kino and Seattle strings? I have not personally heard the Kino Strings yet. If somebody can shed some light please?

Example of Kino strings:

Strings samples on Genos:

I just wonder if Seattle has got a nice orchestra and they give a string sound it's name.

Imho, being that the kino strings are a great demand, someone should sample it and sell it to the non-genos community (just like the guy from Mexico Kindda did), I personally would buy it

Don't know what this guy did, but I would say that we should build a Genos II from scratch and sell it too. Can't be that hard :)

@panos: Very simple, he sampled a whole bunch of genos voices like some revo drums... and imported it to Yemen and made a expansion pack for sale for the non genos guys, honestly I'm not aware of how complicated it should be.

Hi!
We are currently preparing the GHENOS II expansion package, which will include new guides, revo drums with multilayers, saxophones, trumpets and the kino strings.

Soon.

How can you resample instruments emulating Revo (round-robin) technology and articulations of SA / SA2 voices, like saxophones and Kino strings?

Francesco

I'm very interested too, on how you can make wavecycling voices :D  Maybe he has something we don't have, some software from Yamaha :)

Regards,
Vali
