Jeremy See just uploaded a video "Is Yamaha DGX-660 Piano Still Worth It in 2019?" on YouTube, in case anyone is interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xHNEYs4NSM

Hi Cindy and thanks for posting the video.

In my opinion, the DGX650 and DGX660 remain nice and reliable home digital pianos with a bunch of arranger functionalities until now.

Hello ,

As a dgx650 owner am always interested in product demos and glad the new one got coverage on Jeremy See.
From what i can gather of the differences between the 650 and 660 is the piano room feature and the extra apps.
Have not heard any demo person as yet noting a difference in playability, touch,, graded hammer action or voice sounds.
Yes, there is a new piano on the 660 but i wonder if the voices are also different on the 660.  For example,, do the flute
or sax sounds any different.??
The 650 fills the void for an acoustic sounding piano, with the acoustic hammer action.   As much as i like to upgrade my
yammie arrangers, do not feel the need to upgrade to the 660 just for the piano room features.
Wonder if am alone in this situation.
Thanks for the mention of this product and this thread.

cheers
elaine

You're welcome! Jeremy See does good reviews, IMO - He covers both the good and bad points of the keyboards he reviews.

Hi,

I agree. Jeremy makes interesting reviews. As a piano/keyboard player and teacher he knows what he is talking about.

I just went to Guitar Center in Athens, Ga yesterday and tested out the DGX 660. After like 30 mins of playing 3 songs, my hands was hurting pretty bad, guess I'm not used to playing real Piano. It seems like the Keys are hard to play and I couldn't get any songs to play right and out of Sync. The sound on the Piano didn't sound that good. but the Sweet! Pan Flute was really good. I may be wrong though.
