Topic: Tyros 4 Hard Disc Error

Hi Guys / Gals

My Tyros 4 is throwing wobbly.

The hard drive (in the front Right) will not load and I saying Hard Disk Error.

If removed it, tried to format it but nothing.

Anyone had this before and know how to fix it??

Hi. I think the hard disk is gone....Dead....
If it doesn't even format there is nothing you can do.....
Try  to find a new one. Sorry

Take 3 screws out, and pull the caddy with the hd out->slowly to the front - NOT to high and remove the grey cable  (there are parts mounted that can get lost on the keyboard body).

take it with a mini-usb cable to you computer and check it there!

If you take a new HD for T4 don't forget to format INSIDE the T4, because of generating the structure for audio recording ...

Replaced the hard drive. Fixed it for £4.99

Just a quick friendly advice...
Make sure you make regular backups of your files from this second hand hard drive. It might work as new but you never know how this used drive was handled.
