Modx Sounds?

MIDI isn't sound..

If you were to hook up a the Keyboards.
Midi in port ( 950 ) out from mod.

I can't remember the exact process.
But you can select the Right 1 , 2 to any track

Same goes with the left and style and Multipads.

On that List you have I believe Midi input.
I haven't tested it.
I'm assuming that setting should do it.

On the other hand.
I'm not sure Aux in would work.
Also I'll mention this again MIDI is not sound.

Voices that exist on the Mox won't be on the 950.

Free Software Like Audacity
Could Solve it.

Hope this was helpful

what I want to do is midi out of psr-s950 to midi in of Yamaha modx6.  I want to record a multi-track recording using the drum pattern from the psr-s950 along with sounds from the psr-s950,namely strings, piano, etc. and sounds from the Yamaha modx6, namely organs, brass, etc.

Well, it depends what your final goal is and which part of the process you are not sure about.

It's fairly easy to connect them together, and create a MIDI setup configuration that will send some of the Song parts from the S950 out to the MODX rather than locally. Do you need advice on that?

You'll need to be able to hear the results:

+ You could use the S950 speakers for its parts, and send the audio from the MODX to external powered speakers
+ You could send the audio from the MODX to the AUX IN n the S950 and hear them both through the S950
+ You could route them both to an external mixer and out to speakers

If you want to create a WAV file you'd need to use the S950 AUX IN or an external mixer.

Let us know what you've tried and where your problems are.

what I need is to create a midi setup configuration that will send some of the song parts so that the modx will sound.  I will be running both keyboards into a mixer.
