Tyros 4 Piano Sounds

I remember in a previous post for the Tyros 4 Piano sounds can be improved using the bright setting.
Am I correct in thinking the bright setting is similar to the cutoff in a synth ?

Yes - "brightness" is cutoff and "harmonics" is resonance.

I think the correct description would be 'changed'. Whether or not you consider it improvement is down to the individual.
