Need advice on CLP 585 Possible Purchase
« on: May 28, 2019, 02:59:04 AM »
I have the opportunity to purchase a Yamaha CLP 585 digital piano for about $800. It appears to be in excellent shape.
I currently have a Yamaha Arranger PSR S975. I would keep the PSR S975 since it really fits my needs.

Just thinking this is a really good deal for the price. My wife has an interest in starting to play again and has shown some interest in digital pianos. She started years ago on a traditional upright and I think with the Graded Hammer Action and the feel of the keyboard that it would be perfect for her to resume playing the piano and it would give me a completely different keyboard to play on.
First, is this a good deal as it appears to me?
Second, anything I should now about this model?
Third, does the CLP 585 breakdown so it could fit in the back of an Explorer or do I need a full size truck?

All comments are greatly appreciated.
