Questions On Installing A Third Party Expansion Pack
« on: March 30, 2019, 09:04:31 PM »
I just purchased my first expansion pack from a third party developer. It arrived as a ".cpf" file.

Can I install this from a thumb drive, or do I have to use Yamaha software?

Yes CPF files need to be loaded into the YEM and then an install pack made which you can either load wirelessly or onto a USB stick to install.

Thank you so much Alka and Eileen!

I've got the hang of that and got it installed. Couldn't get the WiFi to connect for some reason so made the install file on a thumb drive.

... Couldn't get the WiFi to connect for some reason ...

To make connection between PC and Genos, connect PC and Genos to the same wireless network. It does not work if your PC is connected with ethernet cable and your Genos is wireless (off course)... Both devices must share the same network ID, not only the same IP class... At least, this was the only way I was able to connect both devices together!

Best regards,
Vali
